If you are a landlord, you need protection to cover your rental property, your personal property located in the rental, loss of rental income in the event of a loss, and liability coverage for the premise.
If you are a renter, you need protection to cover your contents in the event of a loss and possibly liability coverage. Your landlord’s insurance will not cover your belongings in the event of a loss.
